Planes Every Minute Flying Over The Area?

Is it just me or are there an inordinate amount of planes flying directly over Prospect Heights tonight? I feel like I am hearing one every minute or two.

It's Air Force Week this week, so they're doing some flyovers today. It officially starts tomorrow though.

This happens with some frequency. Depending on the wind, the flight path for LaGuardia goes right over prospect park and up to Queens. Some nights you just notice it more than others.

I'm in Crown Heights near Washington Ave. I see the planes more than hear them. We are directly under the southern approach to La Guardia. If you look to the east, you can see planes on their approach to JFK. The approach varies a little with the weather, so you probably had more last night than you normally experience. They don't normally bother me.

Given the rain clouds in the area, they've also been flying lower than normal.

Yeah you should probably put in a complaint with JFK, maybe they can change the flight paths at the most important airport in the world over your princess and pea situation.
