Free film night tomorrow at LaunchPad, Franklin Ave

Hi Neighbors!
I'd love to invite the Crown Heights neighborhood to a film night I've programmed and will be hosting tomorrow at LaunchPad, 721 Franklin Ave btw Park and Sterling.

We'll have a director present to introduce a short documentary BIRTH OF THE SUN, (25min) about forgotten artist Grady Alexis, who came to the East Village in the early 80s, inspired many, and was killed by an off duty police officer in 1991. Followed by DOWNTOWN 81 (70min), featuring a young Jean Michel Basquiat on a tour through the vibrant art scene of bombed-out lower Manhattan of 1980.

Totally free (as are all our events!), BYOB, popcorn will be served. Out back if weather permits, in the gallery if it's rainy.
