Hi - would anyone know a good place in Park Slope or close by where I can get my jeans shortened. They are a bit too long. I know it should be a simple job, but I have had a couple of bad experiences and don't want to just randomly pick somewhere, so a recommendation would help alot.

Many thanks!

I'd try 8th Green Cleaners, located at 1202 8th Avenue between 12th and 13th streets. I had a pair of jeans shortened there and was pleased with the results.

allow you to temporarily adjust the length of your jean hem without sewing. Check-it....

There is a place on PPW between Prospect ave and 17th, called either Agnes's or Agatha's, where they do a much better job than at 8th Green cleaners. I've tried both places, and 8th green takes a shortcut, so that you can't ever roll up the hem without the "repair" showing. At the place on PPW, they do it right, and it looks like the jeans came straight from the factory at the perfect length.

ditto d-luxx. She's the best tailor in the area. Remade a pair of silk crepe pants for me.
