Greenpoint, Clay Street

Hey!

I'm in the middle of an apartment hunt (fun... ) right now, and through some contacts, I found a landlord who has an apartment in Greenpoint that fits perfectly with my budget. I have excellent references about the landlord, and I have an appointment to view the place tomorrow. It's on Clay Street between Manhattan Avenue and McGuinness Blvd.

I searched for the address on Google Maps, clicked the Street View, and the place looks a little bit industrial and deserted.

I was wondering if anyone has any comments on that part of the neighborhood. I've never been to Greenpoint, but I understand that it is a very safe and nice part of Brooklyn, and it looks like it is (on Google Maps), but more towards the south of Manhattan Avenue.

Anyway, any comments about Clay Street and it's surroundings will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Laura

The area is fine... Just a little "quieter" than the rest of greenpoint. =)
