I know, another fios thread

So.... I heard from my neighbor that he saw a fios truck on St. Johns Pl and that the driver said it was "coming soon". Not trying to start more fios rumors, but has anyone heard anything similar?

I am so fed up with time warner. I have been disconnected 6 times this morning trying to get technical support. I know fios isn't perfect but it would be a welcome change from the crappiness that is roadrunner...

Any news would be greatly appreciated.

The Fios people just finished up on my block (Sterling between 6th and 7th) this morning. Probably means it's on its way!

But they don 't carry NY1! How will I survive without someone reading me the papers every morning?

I signed up for availability of Verizon DSL service, like 10 years ago. I'm still waiting for them to notify me that it's available.

i spoke to a fios rep a few months ago when i moved back to PS. he told me that fios installation is on a unit by unit basis and not on a street by street or neighborhood basis. he said it required the owner of the property to allow verizon to install the tech in the building and outside. he said very few units in park slope have fios currently.
