I need your opinion on Gates Str!!

A very good friend of mine (male) is thinking of moving to Gates Str. btw Franklin and Bedford. How safe it is? What are the pros and cons of living there? Thanks a lot in advance for your help!! :)

    i think you mean gates avenue...... its not as good as some areas not as bad as others

    Call the local precinct or look up at nyc.gov and get the statistics! NYPD lives by statistics or the Mayor's Management Report.

    Even better that numbers and stats, experience it for yourself. Go walk around, talk to people, check out the block, visit the businesses, eat lunch. The best way to decide if a place is for you is to experience it for yourself.

    Subject: Gates Avenue

    Yeah, I live pretty close to here (Jefferson btwn Franklin and Bedford) and love the area (bought a 2-fam house in 2009). Gates is a great place to be, but you probably don't want to hang out right on Bedford... ;)
