Subject: What's coming to Eks on Vanderbilt?

It looks like Eks on Vanderbilt is turning into something new. Anyone know what's coming?

I'm not even a little bit surprised this place went out of business - they were never open and only had 2 flavors - boring ones at that. What kind of frozen yogurt place is closed every Sunday through the hottest summer on record?! Kind of glad they are out but hoping something good is coming in.

I stuck my head in last week when there was a crew working and asked. It's going to be a Japanese market. One of the guys there was wearing a JAS Market jacket so it might be part of that chain.

That's awesome! We're getting Eton AND a Japanese market?! It's going to be a yummy winter...

I was in the E. Village today and realized that these are the same people who have that cool market on St. Mark's and Lafayette (?). Can't wait to see them open here!

What awesome news! This makes up for the stupid bagel shop on the same block which is NEVER going to open.
