laundry - pick up delivery

I found the old Apple people at a new location on 6th Ave. and 10h St. It is the same group as before with the same easy going policy. No minimum and same day delivery. I sent 22 lbs and they charged me $20,80 so it is approximately ,95 a pound.
I am thrilled and wanted to share this. I have no interest other than my own personal joy that they are back in business.

There's a chinese laundry next to DIzzy's on 9th ST b/w 8th and PPW that I used for pickup/deliver before they burnt down last year. (I lost a small bag of clothing in that damn fire) They have since reopened but I started doing laundry myself so I haven't used them since then. You call and they send a guy on a bike within half an hour or so.

Nice Cleaners on 4th Street and 7th (just behind Sotto Voce) is pretty good, altho' the guy who runs it is a *little* persnickety and fussy sometimes. But they do a decent job and I've never had a problem with the service. I think they do pick-up and delivery (I see delivery guys picking up from there or coming back on their bikes) but I'm not certain; best to check.

Special cuteness bonus: they have a very friendly, very adorable little pug dog in the shop. Your mileage may vary if you don't like dogs, but he's friendly and happy to see everyone. I know it doesn't make your laundry brighter, but it does make your day brighter.

The laundromat on 6th Avenue and 5th Street also picks up and delivers. They do same-day if you get your laundry in before, say, 10:30 or so. I live over on 11th Street, and they're so great about getting over here. Apparently there's someone else on my block who uses them as well.

Laundromat at 8th and 11th also picks up and delivers.
