loudest. thunder. ever.

did anyone else hear that? i frickin hope so, that was loud as HELL.

HOLY CRAP! Seriously, I think that was the loudest thunder I've ever heard. I can hear about four car alarms now.

Nope. Didn't hear it- I was crankin' The Zombies 'Time of the Season.' Much better than thunder.

yeah it was really random... it was like one thunder... that was it and the rain stopped.... of course after I make it inside w/o an umbrella

funny how that always happens.

I was standing at my window on the phone and before the thunder, I heard crackling. I swear it hit the building behind ours. We are on Park Place near Vanderbilt so I am thinking it hit that building with the nice garden in front on Sterling close to the Middle School. Anyone else think so?

It sounded like it was right above my roof @ Park Pl and Und. First a crack then BOOM! I went into a tizzy.

I saw it! I was just coming out of the subway at Target. There was a HUGE lightning bolt, and from where I was it looked like it went right down into the center of the Atlantic Yards. A couple of people screamed like little girls.

Yeah, and the lightning was at almost exactly the same time as the thunder, so it must have been really close.

I thought it had hit directly in front of my house on Sterling btwn Wash & Underhill. Several car alarms went off and I physically cringed.

Lightning just struck the tree in my backyard. Damn!!! :shock: :shock: :shock:

Yeah, it's like non-stop. The loudest one for me was at 8:19. I wonder if the big crane on Plaza St. got hit....

I thought the approach of the storm was cool and erie at the same time. I was 3/4's asleep when I heard the rumblings approacj from the distant. Sounded like a bombing scene from Full Metal Jacket.

This one's a doozy. Real Frankenstein-meets-Dracula effects, and the last bang made me spill my margarita. But seeing it strike a tree in your backyard ... yikes!!!!!

i saw the lightning zapping the chrysler building in manhattan during the storm.

and. um. to be honest ... you guys ... move to the tropics for a bit. this was NOTHING. this type of rain/lightning/thunder storm happens at least once a day during hurricane season. lovely.

i am so sick of this rain... :evil:
