Walked past approx. 20 trucks this morning, all around 5th Ave and Prospect Ave. DGG and Jonah Hill were headed towards the hall on Prospect b/w 5th and 6th. Spoke to a gaffer who said the shoot will continue for the next 4-6 hours.

I'm fairly new to the neighborhood, but I was wondering: how often do they actually shoot films and/or tv shows in the area?

The Sitter was in the area a couple weeks ago, too. So according to math, like once every 2 weeks.

This is the first movie shoot I had seen in South Slope for ages. Sometimes they shoot television series, but it's usually in Park Slope proper. Flight of the Conchords and Bored Death spring to mind.
