I really hope they change the awning soon. Why would anyone name their boutique Love=? ????

the place looks very nice. and i kind of like that the awning has nothing to do with what's inside. that's the kind of touch i'd like to leave on a shop if i opened one.

it's also the kind of shrewd business move that would almost certainly contribute to my failure.

speaking of...

i just noticed that baluchi's indian farther down 5th avenue FINALLY just put up an awning with the name of the restaurant on it. i guess they've been there at least a year or two...

i wondered for the longest time how they expected to get people in there because it was so nondescript from the outside. it seemed rather ridiculous.

anyway, new awning is up and it looks good.
