I'm bored, like right now. I'm single, I don't have plans tonight, so is there somewhere I can go within a walking radius of the Prospect Ave R station that'd be a cool place to hang out and perhaps meet some new people, tonight, right now? 8)

South is always a fun place to hang. Good crowd and the couple that owns it makes everyone feel at home.

Is there a particularly good time to go on a weeknight like tonight?

Also I really haven't ever done this go to bars thing alone so I kind of suck at it. Tips appreciated. LOL

If I recall traditionally AA meetings take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Always lots of new people. Not sure though, it's been 8 years 2 months 10 days and give or take 2 hours.

According to the Brooklyn Pub Facebook page, they have karaoke tonight (20th and 6th ave).

There was an awesome singer/band at Bar 4 last night. Shoulda coulda woulda.............

bummer, actually that would have been a good idea. dont know why I didn't just go there. probably because they didnt have free popcorn.
