    Subject: on flatbush

at the ciao bella gelato. unfortunately their hours are very haphazard. rode by this past saturday at 4pm and it wasn't open yet. on a hot summer day???!??! anyhow, they had an open sign, but b/c i don't think they get much business, they run out and do other stuff sometimes. not sure.

it is on flatbush across from the store that says 'BIG DADDY'

i think cross streets may be st marks/prospect place. i could be off by one or two.

Uncle Louie G's (http://brooklyn.citysearch.com/map?mode=geo&id=37268876&map_lat=406762&map_lon=-739792&fid=2&) just about had me busting out of my spandex (Krylon body protectant knit, of course) last summer. Gelato ???... you must be from Chicago or Europe. Welcome to the hood!

My bad dawg!!! That would be Union & 5th Ave.

    Subject: Maggie Moo's

If you're willing to trek to The Slope, Maggie Moo's on Seventh Avenue between 1st and 2nd has some pretty bitchin' ice cream. I'm developing a serious addiction to Chocolate Better Batter with Reese's Pieces mixed-in.
