Fulton St. G cops

Anyone know why the Fulton St. G train exit next to Moe's usually has 5-8 cops just hanging out there in the eveining? I read about a lot of muggings at Clinton-Washington exits but never see any cops there.

Is there a donut shop nearby?

Also by the Q train, church ave station, there usually is police right outside. must be a compstat thing.

It's my understanding that police are given very explicit directives and they follow them to a T until new directives come along.

Someone somewhere must have decided that exit is a 'high crime area', or at least suffers from evil turnstile jumpers.
