Desperate for hair cut on Sunday

So after years of cutting my own hair or having my husband do it, I'm going to be on TV this week and decided to get a real, professional, paid-for cut. But I have to do it tomorrow a.k.a. Sunday so said hair-cutting husband (who's really an insurance broker, by the way) can watch the toddler. Can anyone recommend a local cutter of women's hair who's open on Sundays and likely to be available? Extra points for a lowish price--remember, I'm used to paying zero for my cuts.

They told me to arrive with hair "camera-ready." So it's the least I can do, right?

Thanks!

Sara

What kind of hair do you have: long, short, straight, curly, thick, thin? It makes a big difference in who you go to. I think Michael on 7th Ave. between 7th and 8th St. is open on Sunday and cuts are between $40. & $50. His number is 718 965 3774. If your hair is curly ask for Alex. Good luck with the show AND the hair cut.

I have been to Creative Hair and Spa on the corner of 5th and 9th in the slope for the last 4 haircuts. Each time I literally called 20 minutes to 2 hrs before I went in, because it would be the type of thing that I would finally get fed up one day and be like, today is the day i need it cut! I have had my hair cut by Ziata, John, Mimi, and Stephen. basically whoever had an open chair, and each cut was great, and cost around 45.

    good luck!

Thanks--just got back from Creative Hair and Spa and was very happy with the results and price. ALMOST ready to become camera-ready!

My friend Esther does cuts for women and men at her apt. on 15th and PPW. She used to work at some fancy Tribeca salon (I don't remember the name) and she is really good. PM me for her email.
