Found Sharpei/mix on Union Street near 5th Ave

A light brown colored sharpei/mix was found today on Union Street in Park Slope between 4th and 5th Avenues. The dog was apparently hit by a car on 5th Avenue and then walked down Union Street. A nice couple picked up the dog and is taking care of it at their house in Prospect Heights tonight. We took her to the vet and she has been given a clean bill of health. She is blind in one eye, but it does not bother her and she has no other problems. She is just over a year old. She just wants to be loved. She is so gentle and immediately accepting of both people and other dogs. She is now up for adoption by the finders - sweet dog

    What a cutie. My cats would seriously object to adopting a dog, but I have no doubt she'll find a good home.

    But you know Park Slope is getting too posh when the strays are sharpeis.
