BBs, hotels in area

Can anyone recommend a child-friendly B&B or other lodging in the area? My friends are coming in August from Ireland and have a 4 year old and 6 month old baby. Looking for a place that isn't too expensive, and doesn't necessarily have to be in Park Slope. Any leads would be much appreciated, thanks.

There's always the Brooklyn Marriott. Not too exciting, but at least you know it's clean, safe, etc.

There's Bed & Breakfast Marisa in PH on Park Pl between Vanderbilt and Underhill. I have neither personal nor secondhand experience, but I did live on the block. It's a great block, and the outside of the B&B looks nice...

Yep, the only hotel [believe it or else] in Brooklyn that isn't a hot-sheet joint.
B+B's in the Slope are uneven at best.

My inlaws stayed there and it's very spacious and quite nice

we've had people stay at Garden Green b&b, on carlton between park and prospect. it was nice, the price was right, and they had a good time. (they rented the apartment unit)
