Large white granite cubes on the traffic circle side of the berms

Does anyone know what these are? They're up against the berm's chain link fencing. They look like the smaller siblings of those granite monstrosities outside of the LIRR entrance at the Atlantic Center mall.

They have been there for a couple of weeks.

...based on pure supposition, they may be part of the new configuration of the GAP pedestrian islands near Vandy.

I read somewhere that they were supposed to create more islands in the Spring.

....may whatever car who hits one of those blocks RIP.
