Not trying to pimp my blog, but all the pics are there. Someone sacrificed a couple of chickens in the park last night...

Freaky. Is there a logical explanation?

Since when is black magic not logical?

Yea I'm thinking Santaria or something similar. It's an odd thing to come across...

Yup. For a recent and similar incident in Utah, see "Santeria faith in Park City: decapitated animals are telltale sign of followers": http://www.parkrecord.com/ci_16952791

Another religious misuse of parks that's cruel to animals is the Buddhist ritual of releasing animals that have no place in that environment:

See "Buddhists Release Animals, Dismaying Wildlife Experts" at http://www.nytimes.com/1997/01/11/nyregion/buddhists-release-animals-dismaying-wildlife-experts.html

That's interesting. A headless goat in the woods would freak me out a bit. Though on the other hand, that's good chivo right there.

I think the halal place on Grand sells goats

In that case, I wish to edit my post above:

    a. The halal place is on Classon.

    b. Yes, according to its storefront, it does sell goats and lambs as well as poultry.

The evil sacks of shit that murdered those chickens for their STUPID religion, deserve to die miserable deaths.

Yeah, but how do you really feel?

I feel like bashing their faces in then sacrificing their balls and stuffing them down their throats

Whoa - why the man hate? There are both male and female Santeria priests.

I agree that cutting the head off an animal to please an invisible god is pretty silly, but overall it's probably a quick-ish death. As a meat-eater, I'm not sure I can say too much about it.

bigguy I agree with you about the meat thing. it took only about 10 mins of watching one of those undercover animal factory videos for me to stop eating meat forever. it was horrible and there is much more suffering for a long period of time than any animal sacrifice.

Well, if the factories cause even worse suffering than the sacrifices, you're going to have a lot of ball stuffing on your plate...
