No room on the sidewalk for your tree?? Bring it on down to the Prospect Heights Community Farm on Saturday, January 8th or Sunday, January, 9th! We are located at 252-256 St. Marks Avenue, between Vanderbilt and Underhill. Please remove all ornaments, tinsel etc….

And for more locations in Brooklyn - http://www.nycgovparks.org/services/mulchfest/mulchfest.html#parks

Another great way to make use of your tree –

The Parks Dept. brought the chipper around to us last year, because we had a very good turnout, so there was on-site chipping. Not sure what the plan is this year...it's up to Parks.

"Wouldn’t it be beautiful if families gathered after Christmas, festively removed the decorations and then cut off the tasty needles of the tree to flavor their food?" (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/25/opinion/25redzepi.html Yumm)

Yes, indeed! Why haven't I seen my neighbors doing this?

Is it wrong to think of this as being joyous?

You know, like going away parties for a co-workers you are not fond of?

We collected around 218 trees today! The chipper showed up and chipped most of the trees! Keep bringing them over!
