We heard it as well. It was a good number of shots, although I didn't keep track of how many.

Our ongoing attempts to "have people who shoot people post the reasons they did so" on this board often have very limited success.

Maybe we should take turns randomly patrolling the streets at night.

Person shot was reportedly 17 and male.

He was shot in the lobby of the building where he lived.

He survived.

I know no details about the motive, or whether the shooter was caught.

The shooter and the person shot reportedly knew each other.

Please note I have not verified any of the above info with the 77th pct.

I bet I know the building....

I heard the shots too, and the sirens! And the shouting that lead up to it all. I counted when it was happening, and it was 20 shots, if my memory serves. I'm glad to hear he is still alive. I am also pretty sure I saw the group of people who were involved, too, because a group of young people came striding down my street right after I heard the shots.

I know someone who lives in the building across the street, she actually saw it happen from her window, and saw the group of kids walk out the building and down the street. She told me that there is some kind of community meeting in response to the shooting, but since it is happening next month and I will not be living in this area anymore by that point, I didn't ask exactly when and where it will take place. If I run into her again, I will ask for more details about it.
