Appliance showrooms

I need to make some decisions on some new appliances ASAP and I don't have a car or a ton of time to go to a bunch of scattered stores. I was wondering which stores have the best showrooms, as in a large variety of appliances. Specifically, I'll be looking at dishwashers (our GE basically cooks on any dirt that was already there), mini/bar fridges, icemakers and possibly other fridge/freezers.

PC Richards (I'm thinking of the one on Atlantic)? Drimmers? Somewhere else?

While the selection is much smaller than what you can find at PCR, you should run across the street to see what they have at the Best Buy.

Before you buy that new dishwasher, make sure your current one is getting genuinely hot water.

...some dishwashers don't have a pre-heat function, and (as a result) don't get the dishes clean when they don't get hot water

....which could happen when it is 9 degrees outside.

    just sayin

I highly recommend Drimmers http://www.drimmers.com/. They supply designers with high end appliances and they have a huge selection in all price levels. I think they have a clearance sale going on right now too.

The PC Richards on Atlantic is sooo sketchy (having bought many things there and regretted it). Stick to Lowes or Home Despot

I second Drimmers. We bought all of our kitchen appliances there. The prices were the lowest we found anywhere, they delivered when they promised, and everything was smooth and easy.

Thanks y'all. I have used Drimmers repair service in the past in rentals and really liked them. I think I'll be heading that way this week.
