Looking for Services: Furniture Refinishing Repair, Small Appliance Repair

I am looking for an area person or business that refinishes wood furniture. The pieces are not antique or particularly valuable, but they have sentimental value. Right now, I have an end table, desk chair (with some metal mechanisms that could be repaired and de-rusted), a cedar chest. Ideally, someone would pick up and drop off the furniture - and I would be happy to pay for the convenience.

I also have a small appliance that needs to be re-wired.

Any ideas of area businesses that do this type of work?

    These folks stripped a lot of the woodwork in our home, and then refinished our dining room table. They do great work, but I don't know whether they're interested in small jobs.

    For small appliances being fixed, try Brooke's Appliances on 7th ave and 12th. They mostly do vacuum repairs, but probably fix other appliances as well. You can call and ask (718) 832-0055. I've used them a few times.
