Subway, morning of 1/27 storm?

Okay, I admit it--I'm trying to figure out whether I can get to work without going outside, which would entail taking off my bathrobe. The MTA website is a little vague. Sounds like the 2/3 and N aren't coming by here, can't tell about the C or the Q from the way they've worded things.

Any firsthand info?

No, and I don't plan on going out, either... but my wife's office is closed for the day, so it can't be too good.

Even the UN is closed today! Stsy home.

I can say conclusively that the 2 was running between Eastern Parkway and Winthrop Street at about 8 this morning. People coming to work from the other direction said the train was "packed like sardines" but running. One woman whose husband works for the MTA said no buses were running.

Intellectually, I know there will come a time when there's no snow on the ground, but I'm having trouble believing it.

At my subway stop (elevated M) I saw an MTA employee digging out a train the way someone would dig out a stuck car.

The M was running fine, it was just a funny image.

Most (if not all) of my department is working from home today. It's not worth it, stay home if you can.

Sadly, I had no problem getting to work today near Grand Central. Took the 4-5 from Eastern/Franklin (CH, I know), just like I do every morning. Took the normal 40-ish minutes.

And now I'm one of like 35 people who showed up today. Out of roughly 150. Erg.

Out of a staff of 35, 5 of us showed up. Turns out I'm the most senior of us, so the decision to go close early is apparently mine. You can imagine how popular I am right now.
