Is it just me? - Loud whining noise

I don't if it's just me, but I can hear a loud whining noise coming from outside. It seems to slow down and speed up in intensity, but it's very constant. I'm right near the 78th Precinct building.

Am I nuts? It can't possibly be the wind.

It's probably the snow-removal equipment on the tracks of the LIRR storage area. Sounds like a jet engine, and they do it at night when the trains aren't running.

It's only been a week. Give the Jets and their fans a little time to get over it.
