Safety in Stuyvesant Heights

Hi: We are a family of 5 and planning on renting a brownstone at 263 MacDonough St Brooklyn 11233 in April. Reviews seem positive about safety of area but would like to hear from locals as to this. Thanks for your input. Dan

    If that's the block where the public school/Beacon is (272 MacDonough), you should be fine. There have been some issues with safety coming from the train station at Utica Avenue, so just be mindful of that.

    You should never feel questionable about moving into a "certain" 'hood... It will be written all over your face and you will make yourself a target.

    You need to love the neighborhood you are moving your family to and be confident it is where you belong.

    It's NY you can get stuck up, jumped or what have you on any block, any street corner.....
