No More Church Avenue Street Fair

The man who ran Church Avenue Bonanza for many years passed away last year. His successor applied for permits for the street fair but was told by the city that it was a new fair and they're not granting permits for new fairs.

Say, I got a sorta dumb question about Church Avenue:

There used to be a place where slot cars were run. It was a big hangout for kids many of whom were playing hooky & skipping out on school. The place was near MacDonald Av.

Is that place still open?
