Incident at Nostrand A Station last week

I heard a rumor that two guys jumped a local homeless vet at the Nostrand Station after he cashed his benefits check, and that he injured one of them and killed the other.
Does anyone know if this is true, who the guy was or what happened to him afterwards?

I don't know which Nostrand Station you might be referring to, but the Community Affairs offce at the 77th Pct. which includes Crown Heights looked into the rumors but found nothing on the police records of such an incident.
