Room rental/sublet from May 18- June1

Hi,

I'm a college student and my boyfriend is coming to visit New York from the UK. We're looking for a place to stay in Park Slope, but as students, we don't have much money to spend (~$1000). If there's a quiet room we could rent, that would be perfect. Or, if someone's looking to sublet their apartment while they're away, we could stay half the month and pay half the rent, assuming a rent around $2000.

Any help would be appreciated!

Please don't think I am a snarkey ole lady but I read this and laughed. The nice college student and BF are in PS and want to be so quiet they need a quiet room? Doubt it!!!!

Actually we are very quiet and respectful (he's even got the added polite Englishman thing), and we would like the room to be in a calm/quiet place, if possible-- it is our vacation after all.

After you type in "Brooklyn" as your search area, neighborhoods check list should be at right of page. Probably best to expand your search to include South Slope and Prospect Heights. Set the search results to display "low to high." Plenty of things available in your price range. Good luck!

Where do you live, why can't he stay with you and do you have references?

Oldsloper, read again... they're looking for someplace to stay together. Hint: not every college is located in NYC.

... and alot of dorm rooms are doubles.
