You heard it here first: Green Fig Cafe is open and the pastries are YUMMY!!!

Green Fig Cafe opens tomorrow. =DB :bounce:

Its beautiful inside with copper colored aluminum tiling, old world style coffee machines, lovely dark wood chairs and comfortable plush settees. The space is bi-level and the walls are covered with large colorful artwork.

This is not your cheap deli/coffee shop/bagel store. This is a nice upscale hang out place with WIFI.

Okay folks, notice the avatar of Miss Piggy and trust a fat/greedy customer. This place is gonna be good!

I got to sample some of their treats and let me tell you, its BETTER THAN ANYTHING ELSE AROUND HERE. Some of you may dispute this, but as a fat chick with a chronic sweet tooth, I think can give a pretty good assessment of good pastries versus bad.

I haven't tasted the coffee yet, but I'm sure their standards are high. Thank goodness! I know I will be there all the time, studying for my licensing exam. -Y

On their facebook page they say they are going to feature evening entertainment/events and were asking for suggestions. I suggested an open mike night as did some other people. If you are on FB check out their page. Maybe SP will have some night life finally.
