Maceo Parker Concerts

I'm going to the Parker concert tonight at Irving Plaza. I was thinking of going to the one in the park tomorrow night as well, and was wondering if any of you guys are going to either one.

Yo, Maceo was dope. I highly recommend seeing him in the park. You won't be disappointed.

The concert at Irving Plaza last night was amazing, but I bet it will be even iller at the park. There was lots o' rump shaking going on.

Maceo is awsome, I only wish Fred Wesley would be there too, and maybe James Brown, and while I'm dreaming it'd neat if Jesus was there breakdancing.

While we are at it, I wish George Clinton would be there tonight also.

I was near the back right outside the fence, I brought my dog so it was kinda the only real option. There was somone smoking a lot of really skunky weed near by tho I couldn't see who. This was not a problem to me, I expect as much at outdoor concerts. What was a problem to me was the police preccence, They were pushing through the croud menacing concert goers and asking everyong who was smoking the weed. There was also a constant parade of police vehicles who had their lights on and would tell everyone on the road to get on the grass if they came to see the concert over the loud speaker. They were more than a little disruptive, it really put me in a mood that made it hard to enjoy the show, I left before the encore and missed Prince apparently. :evil: :evil: :evil: bummer...
