Potluck Picnic in Mount Prospect Park 6/14 6:30
This picnic will take place in Mount Prospect Park on Tuesday the 14th starting around 6:30pm. The park is located on Eastern Parkway between the library and the Botanic Garden. The two entrances are roughly opposite Underhill and 135 Eastern Parkway. Steady rain or lightning cancel.
We will probably be in the southwest part of the oval. There will be a Brooklynian sign. And really the park isn't big enough for you not to find us.
It is a potluck, therefore you should bring something to share. The rule on food "enough for you+1" is generally a good one. There are no picnic tables, therefore bringing a blanket or other object on which to put food is helpful.
If you haven't been to the park, you should know that it has a pretty fabulous playground. But I am not sure if the water has been turned on yet. This goes for the drinking fountains too.
The park closes at dusk, dogs are not allowed off leash after 9am and alcohol is banned from all public parks. As a long time user of the park, I have never seen that third rule enforced.
There is no need to RSVP. If you choose to RSVP, mention what you intend to bring to avoid (as much as possible) overlap.
(mods- can you copy to Crown Heights and Prospect Park too?)

jeneeLooks like a lot of fun. Would love to go, but that is Museum Mile in the city. I don't want to pass up an opportunity to get into the Met for free. Hope you guys have a lot of fun though. Maybe I can meet up next time around.
