It's So Quiet!

It seems remarkably quiet in our section of the borough tonight. Is this normal? Hardly any fireworks, no sirens, little partying. What's going on? Are people just burnt out from a long weekend?

It was like that in my area of Sunset Park too. Maybe and perhaps its because work is tomorrow? Maybe its the bad economy nd the fact that no one has money to party much these days?? Who knows its anyone's guess. I was out with friends on the Brooklyn promenade and it wasn't festive at all there. No fireworks, and just crowds of people with tupperware plates of home cooked food.

Still a bunch of fireworks being blown off here at 1:15 am in western CH. Seems like there are three parties (groups) on my block letting them go. I only had a few and now wish I had more ; (

Got home around 11:45 and there were people out on Franklin, but not any more rowdy than a weekend. And not any more fireworks going off than have been all weekend. I thought it'd be crazy and I'm impressed/surprised it's not.

Walked along Prospect from just east of Franklin all the way to Vanderbilt alst night starting around 8:45 pm. Encountered a few block party-style gatherings along the way, with one very large one in particular. All of them were setting off fireworks. Was kind of nice, actually. Good vibes all around.
