I will never understand the choice of name for this restaurant; I seriously thought you were referring to emergency contraception for a split second...

I brought up EC to the owners of the place when they first opened. It is owned by males and they scoffed at my suggestion that most people would think of emergency contraception. I just thought that bar owners wouldn't want their business associated with panic and nausea.

Likewise, I told the owner dude what Plan B means and he didn't care.

Based on the number of soused fans drunkenly shouting on big game nights, I'd say that the association with panic and nausea hasn't dissuaded many from going.

Somebody on this site had a great analogy for plan B. the place is like fly paper, it attracts most of the douchebags in the neighborhood and confines them to one place. I for one am thankful its there.

You really think the douche bags keep to that place alone? Does that mean you think everyone in Soda are not douchey?

I've never actually been in and now I don't think I ever will!

If you catch it when it's not too full it's not so bad. There are friendly bartenders and the drinks are affordable. There is also a backyard area. I (used to) really enjoy having a drink and not be shoved on the sidewalk with all the cars and exhaust or feel trapped behind high bars a la Beast.

You all can scoff at people who like sports, but every now and then it is nice going to a place that actually shows a game or two. I have far more offensive feelings towards other places on the stretch. As naive as the owners are regarding their name, I have always found them to be very pleasant as well.
