The Health Department will spray pesticide from trucks tomorrow (Wednesday, August 3rd) in Windsor Terrace between 8:15 p.m. and Thursday morning at 6:00 a.m.

This site discusses the active ingredient used in the insecticide, pyrethroid.

It says it is

acutely toxic to a wide spectrum of insects while being relatively safe for mammals and harmless to plants.

However, despite these assurances, I read the rest of the page. I have reached the conclusion that it is not wise to use pyrethroid as a substitute for flour the next time I am making cookies and run out.
