Anything open?

Have you seen any stores or restaurants open today (Saturday)? We'd kind of like one last trip out before the rain sets in.

I know Perch is closed all weekend.

It didn't look very promising on my stretch of 5th ave. Anyone know if any pizza places are open?

I hope this storm doesn't get that bad.

Everything is open on 5th and 6th south of 9th. At least it was 20 mins ago.

C Town on 9th Street was super crowded but they had extra staff.

Union Market, Grumpy, Couleur Cafe in South Slope were open. Pretty much everything on 7th south of 9th seemed to be operating normally.

Smith Street has some activity. Went to Met Food and got some stuff early but it was filling up with shoppers as we left at about 8:30. Some restaurants and bars look to be opening up today. I think today will be ok for the most part aside from a bit of rain. Later tonight the winds should start picking up.

big chain fast food places are open for sure and so are the immigrant joints . i had some fast food burgers lol just now.

Check out grubhub - they're updating the site if places are closed. We ordered delivery from Rama Thai and it was business as usual.

We had a tasty brunch at Coco Roco. We were the only ones there but there was some take-out business.

Lots open, but also lots closed.

Yeah -- I got an email from grubhub about how they will help you find a place to deliver or whatever you need. It was actually pretty funny. It came at the same time as the emails from con ed, nyc.gov, etc. and it was about the "emergency" of take-out food.

Anyone know if Mango thai is open?

Mango is not listed as open on Seamless web right now. Of the places that are listed open, seamless web says to call first to make sure they are actually open.

I'm guessing that without any public transit today, many places are closed since workers come from all over.

Is Bar Reis open? I might need to party brains out. Business as per usual.

I wonder what local places are open for lunch/dinner today (monday,) it seems the subways are back up.

I'm pretty sure everything is open... Come on people, if the Hurricane wasn't all over the news we wouldn't even have known it happened. I knew Friday evening this shit was all hype.
