in many languages something sounds like the n word doesn't mean the n word. but some folks got chip on their shoulders.

This actually happens alot with Chinese immigrants and African Americans. nei ge sounds like the n word, but actually means which one? so when some ignorant person is around they would be thinking people are talking about them, next thing you know they'll cause trouble. happen to me a few times.

anyway the above vid is Korean for those who don't know, but the guy mistook what the locals are saying and thinking they call him the n word.

People are pretty quiet on the Korean buses I have been on and not many speak English.

AW when are you planning to learn English?

This video was disturbing to watch because that man was obviously abusive and to top it off everyone was just standing there.

Agreed. The only time I was every approached on a bus/heard English was in 2 situations:

    1) A grandmother walked her granddaughter over to me and said "Go! Go!" and then had her granddaughter count 1-10 and say hello and thank you in English to us because she went to a school to learn English in the afternoons.

    2) A group of teenage boys said "Girl you are so beautiful" and then sang "You are so beautiful.....to me!" over and over as I sat on the bus trying not to laugh my ass off.

Seriously -- people leave you alone.

ETA: My husband was approached on the subway in Seoul by a man who said "20...30 thousand....dead. Young men. For freedom and democracy. Why?" and wanted my husband to explain America's involvement in the Iraq war. Ha!
