I got to the museum at 8:55 and all was clear at least at street level.

I got stuck, too - I ended up taking the 2/3 out to Franklin and switching to a 5 into Manhattan. No idea what happened or how long it went on, though.

When I got to Franlin this morning on the 3 there was an empty 2 train sitting in the station (we actually discharged on the express side of the platform). I assumed it had broken down. All I know is everything was backed up and the express train was packed.

I heard from a friend that somebody died of a heart attack on the train. A second friend told me it was a conductor who died. No official word on this, though.

Heard that, too -- "sick conductor" for once, not a fabled "sick passenger."

i was on the train when it happened. at least the conductor was able to do it in the station so we could all get out eventually. passed out, but not until emerg brake was on. took too damn long for the non-running EMS to arrive imo.
