*LOST CAT* Please help us find our cat.

Cat, male, neutered, and color is primarily black with * SPARKLING YELLOW EYES*, and most importantly has 3 legs. I found "GIMPY" in the street after being struck by a car. I took him to the vet who nursed him back to health and he has been a member of the family ever since. "Gimpy" must have walked out when my young daughter left the door ajar. Although he has 3 legs he gets around quite well. He is a valued member of my family and if anyone happens upon him or knows his wear abouts please post a reply here or to my email [email hidden].

If you haven't already, flyer the crap out of the area. Even put them under doors of buildings on your block.

The Fido website has some helpful tips. It talks about dogs but this stuff applies to cats as well.

Hope Gimpy gets home quickly.

Go to the Brooklyn AC&C and bring photos with you so that if he is there you can find him and if her turns up they can call you, assuming they will be bothered. Also put up on Tabby Tracker and Petfinder with photos. Ask neighbors as well as someone may pick the kitty up and take home feeling sorry for him.

What location was he lost?

Leo, 6th street between 5th and 6th avenues.

It would appear that a good samaritan who lives two blocks over from me has informed me that there is the remains of a black cat near the rear of his backyard. He also informed me that the cat looks like it was stoned to death. Tomorrow I shall go examine the remains and determine if it is "Gimpy".

I pray that it is not.

What a sad ending that would be.

I don't know whether Gimpy is related to Scrumbles, but I'd bet that RainbowSloper is related to PyhrricVictory and LillithofArc!

Yes Booklaw but we Brooklynians do not attack new posters! And it is possible that a 3 legged cat went missing from 6th Street and a good Samaritan contacted the OP with possibly sad news..yada, yada, yada.......

*Great News*

The remains of the cat I was informed about was not "Gimpy". That cat had all 4 legs. There is still hope that he is under the care of a good neighbor.

Not great news for the cat that was stoned to death.
