I unearthed my hockey skates. Other than at the Kate Wollman rink, where can I get them sharpened?

The rink at Bryant park? It's $20 there.

I wonder if that guy who drives around the knife sharpening van would know how to do skates...

Well, I did ask knife-truck man, and he said no. He also wouldn't sharpen my coconut grater.

I've gotten my hockey skates sharpened once at Wonderland Sports. They're located at:

    6602 11th Avenue

Brooklyn, NY Corner of 66th Street & 11th Avenue

They did a good job and did it while I waited. You can take the N to Ft Hamilton Pkway, then walk the 5 blocks from the train stations.

I need to get my skates sharpen too. I'm thinking of hitting Westside Skate & Stick which is located on 5th Ave btw 22nd/23rd street in Manhattan.

The only other places I can think of would be the skating rinks in the city. As someone said Bryant Park, Wollman Rink in Central Park, the skate shop at SkyRink at Chelsea Piers. Good luck.

So I brought my hockey skates to Westside Skate & Stick. They sharpened my skates in about an hour. Will see how good of a job they did next weekend when I take my skates out.

I wonder if Paragon Sports would do sharpening?

I believe they do as well. I know in the past they used to do free skate sharpening if you purchases your skates from them. Not sure how well I would trust them though.
