UPDATED: NEW Question :-)

Milan Optique on 5th ave and Prospect place/Warren

anyone been there?

Has any one been to Victory Vision Care on 5th ave and Dean St?

Are they good for eye exams? They are covered by my insurance (United) and I need to go to get my exam before the end of year, so I'm looking for something convenient but with a good optometrist.

I can't say but Dr Lui at Eyes on the Slope is excellent. Only in the office once or twice a week though.

So I went to Milan. They are under new management. The doctor is only in on Thursdays for eye exams, she was great. I would recommended her without hesitation. However, she is preggers so there will probably be a temp optometrist at some point covering for her.

As for cust serv for frames: I didn't like any of their stock so I didn't buy frames there, but they did try hard to sell me on some, haha. You can decide if they carry what you like. I stuck with my old frames. They do provide repair service for frames at a affordable price.

Here is the best part: The turn around on getting my new lenses was 24 hours! I walked out of there yesterday afternoon and my frames were ready today by around 3pm. I was in no rush, but it is pretty cool to know that in an emergency I can get new lenses so fast.

    So there you go.
