New place on Franklin and Sterling next to Caribbean Bakery?

The place says "[insert street number] Franklin" and the store hours on the door. Didn't get a close look, but I'll reply when I walk by again. Anyone know anything?

I think that is the space that is supposed to become the wine bar. I've been hearing we are getting a wine bar on Franklin for a while, and hear it was going to be near the former location of 3-Ds.

Another mystery is what will go into the 3-D space....

I hope 3Ds is just becoming a nicer 3Ds but haven't heard one way or the other

3Ds was closed for so long, that I bet a transfer of ownership occurred.

Please note, this is just a guess on my part. I only have a hunch, no solid info

In 2008, when something opened on Franklin it was EXCITING, because the avenue lacked so many of the "nice" restaurants, drug stores, bars, etc that are now available.

Now, the openings are no longer news.

The business community has caught up to the neighborhood's demographic change, and now serves its preferences.

....so this period may be drawing to a close, and the real excitement of the coming year may be what is felt by the under served residents of Nostrand. Note: They may get a different mix than Franklin received, but changes are certainly happening in response to the changes that have occurred over the last several years.
