Blue Ribbon Sushi in Park Slope is Closing

There is a sign in the window of Blue Ribbon Sushi that says the restaurant's ten year lease in Park Slope is up, and it's closing down. Apparently it will "merge" with Blue Ribbon Brasserie next door in a few weeks (by March 1) but details of the merger are unclear at this point.

Bummer, that was some damn good sushi.

Bad news! Really good sushi, but it was expensive (but totally worth it, IMO.) I wonder if the economy combined with the proximity of two less-expensive sushi places spelled its doom. I also found that, over time, I preferred the environment at Taro to Blue Ribbon. I've never been to the Brasserie, so I can't comment.
