underling outs cheapass banker boss. the banker insulted the waitress with a tip of "get a real job."

A banker left a 1% tip in defiance of 'the 99%' at a Newport Beach restaurant the other week, according to his dining companion and underling who snapped a photo of the receipt and posted it to his blog, Future Ex Banker. (Update: the blog is now offline.)

    Privilege is a nasty thing.

People like that will never even know they have it.

In fact, a spokesperson for True Food Kitchen in Newport Beach told TSG that the eatery was able to locate the actual “merchant copy” of the February 16 credit card receipt and it reveals that the online version has been Photoshopped.

... the original receipt does not contain the notation “Get A Real Job.” Nor does it have an arrow pointing to those words from the “Tip” line.

The amount on the actual receipt is $33.54, Reagan said, not $133.54 as seen on the altered receipt. And while the tip on the online receipt claims that the server was left $1.33 (or one percent of the bill), the actual tip was more than $7 on the $33.54 tab.

Wait, you mean people have agendas against people and manipulate things to further said agendas?

    whoa.

Maybe we should go through life skeptical.

Wait, you mean people have agendas against people and manipulate things to further said agendas?

Fox News should have an absolute FIELD DAY with this hoax. It invalidates the 99% movement, while simultaneously proving that global warming does not exist.

Dan Rather should resign over this.

Remember the 80s, and how happy some on the right would get when they would manage to find a homeless guy who had secret bank accounts?

Remember their faces when they would tell the stories (complete with graphs) about how "welfare queens" were somehow responsible for the destruction of the US economy, and the rise of Japan?

Lots of folks on the left seem to be prone to acting in a similar manner when they are told a "bankster" left a lousy tip.

While some despise such reactions, I think an equal number of people may believe that those with preconceived notions, confined narratives and allegiance to paradigms are what make this world fun!

I hope I'm able to remember this present era of silliness as fondly as I do the 80's, and hope -someday- to be as senile and happy as Ronald Reagan was.

Until then, left and right media sources like Gothamist, The Village Voice, The National Review, Fox News and the like provide endless entertainment.
