Cops in the park this morning

The park was swarmed with cops this morning so I thought I'd share for the other busy bodies like myself, who were wondering what that was about. Apparently a young man hung himself in the area they had blocked off (by Long Meadow).

A man was found dead hanging from a tree in Prospect Park early Monday morning, officials said.

The person was only desribed by police as a man in his 30s who was discovered in Long Meadow off Ninth Street by a park-goer at 7 a.m. this morning.

The investigation is on going, but the incident appears to be a suicide, an NYPD spokesman said.
