Dean St Playground - memorial flowers?

I noticed a bunch of flower arrangements in the Dean St Playground this morning. It looks like a memorial to someone or something. Anyone know what it's about?

    I think it's for Ray Monroe. He was a coach and son of the guy that runs the baskeball tournaments in the park (he also owned of a clothing shop on Fulton Street in Ft. Greene). He was killed last week in a motorcycle accident on Atlantic Avenue on his way home from work.
