What IS that noise?

Right now, this morning - sounds like repetitive gunshots over and over - seems to be coming from a few blocks away. It's shaking my whole building! They stop and then start up again. Construction? Is this allowed? Shoould I call 311?

Does anyone have any info?

    Ah - condo construction on Ashland and Fulton. (230 Ashland Pl, to be exact.) Next time, 311.

    For just noise you call 311, but if you hear gun shots you call 911, after doing one of the 2 you should give a follow up call to the local precinct.
