hi all!

i can't possibly be the only one in this city with a teeny tiny mailbox who's ever gotten married before...

the registry floodgates have opened, which is awesome. but do any of you have any advice as to where to get packages delivered in our area...is there a local mailboxes etc type place that i haven't seen?

the bodega is too sketch (so not open to that suggestion)...and neither one of our jobs allows personal packages at work. :(((

just wondering what people in this city do when they come home to multiple UPS/FEDex slips! advice, please:)

You can do "hold for pick up" deliveries at your local ups or fed ex hub

A lot of shipping places will accept your deliveries for a fee (I know theres one on Franklin and Sterling,, one on Classon and St. Johns, and one at Washington and Park.).

When we got married we had everything shipped to our parents' in the suburbs and then rented a car one weekend to pick it all up.

    Good luck!

    Thanks!!

LexieZ, unfortunately, when i looked up the closest UPS pickup place, it said it was all the way at Linden BLVD like 5 miles away! :( (that's why i came here to this board...i was like, there's gotta be a better way!)

xlize: where is the place on washington and park that you speak of...only thing i see in my head is Washington Commons...there's a shipping place there? i totally need a place that accepts packages in the hood, and i'm willing to pay them a fee...is there an awning... hmmmm?

i'd get my parents to hold them for me, but they unfortunately live in the midwest:(

I assume she meant the one on Washington between Sterling and St. John's, on the west side of the street.

Crap, yes. Funny, I've only ever been on my way to Washington Commons.

Lincoln Postal has a great package receiving service that's very reasonable. You use their address for packages and they text or email you (or both) when you have a package. Highly recommended.

Have them held at a UPS store near one of your offices. Alternatively, there are those postal stores. I believe there is one on Flatbush, "Away We Go Postal."

Although, after that postal store near the Crunch gym abruptly shut down a few years ago, leaving many people's packages trapped inside (until the building's owner opened the store for a few hours one day to let people pick them up,) I have become pretty skeptical of what could happen to your packages.

We have our packages delivered to the UPS store on Flatbush , across from 6th ave and it works out well for us. It ain't cheap though...
