Prospect Park Pickup Soccer (PPPS!)

So, I don't really know the etiquette to the soccer games that go on in PP during the weekends. They look like they're pickup games, but as someone new to the city who doesn't have a partner to bring with, what's the best way to get in on some games?

Walk up to them and say "can anybody play?". They'll let you know if it's a pickup game, if they are organized, etc.

Sounds about right, I've recently started playing in PPark as well. I've played up near Grand Army Plaza but I've seen lots of other games in other areas of the park as well.
