As New Yorkers, we are not exposed to much of the rhetoric of the presidential race because our state historically votes for the Democratic candidate.

Meanwhile, those in the swing states are getting lots of very slick rhetoric that purports that Obama fails to value things people hold dear, such as "achievement" and "success".

Hold on boys and girls, this ride is just beginning.

What is also very fascinating is the network or "Christian" radio stations and churches across middle America, who exploit all sorts of non-profit loopholes, but ACTIVELY campaign against Obama but do it in the guise of preaching "moral pro-life" rhetoric. They did everything, but OPENLY endorse Rick Santorum and then when that failed Newt. Newt of all cheating lying "Contract with America" "Impeach Clinton" HYPO-FUCKING-CRITS.

God. Why do I live in a nation of idiots with no memories?

Gah so much vile this afternoon. Sorry.

And now, a running mate has been chosen:

The Republicans seem to be in stride.

    Will the Democrats self destruct?

Will the Democrats be able to turn out votes to re-elect a man that had incredibly high expectations placed on him, and (predictably) did not achieve many of them?
